This miniature Iznik tile panel, produced for Tekirdag City Hospital, is an architectural surface application that aims to make art a natural part of everyday life within a public healthcare building. In the composition, important places and structures that shape Tekirdag’s urban identity are brought together through the narrative language of miniature painting.

The pattern, color, and surface language of traditional Iznik tile art were reinterpreted through a contemporary compositional approach and designed to harmonize with the scale and high-traffic use of the hospital environment. This approach positions Iznik tile not merely as a decorative element, but as a permanent cultural layer that gives identity to the space.

“The most important element in Iznik tile applications within public buildings is the ability of art to establish a natural relationship with spaces of everyday use. This panel was designed to create a sense of visual continuity and calm within the hospital environment.”
— İznik Mavi Çini, Senior Architectural Projects Production Facility Manager
