During the Ottoman period, the production of large single-piece stone tiles was a rare art. This was because as the mass of the tile increased, there was a risk of cracking due to expansion in the kiln. However, the unique Iznik tile, produced by the skilled hands of our masters, emerged despite this challenge.
This special piece adorned with motifs created by the palace's designer, Babanakkaş, carries the traces of the past to the present with today's technology.
