Narmanlı Han
ISTANBUL
Located close to Tunel in Taksim, Istanbul, Narmanlı Han was constructed by the Swiss architect brothers Giuseppe and Gaspare Fossati in 1831 to be used as the Russian Embassy. In 1933, famous Istanbulite tradesmen brothers Avni and Sıtkı Narmanlı purchased the building, after which the building was renamed as Narmanlı. During that time, it was used as an atelier and living quarters by many artists such as Bedri Rahmi, Aliye Berger and Ahmet Hamdi Tanpınar.
In 2016, we co-restored one Iznik tile panel in the building together with Anikya at our facility.
